The Nigeria Oscars Selection Committee, NOSC, has chosen five additional new individuals in gear of the 97th version of the yearly award.
The 97th release of the Oscars awards will happen on March 2nd 2025.
In a proclamation given by its chief, Stephanie Linus, NOSC declared the accompanying new individuals: Ali Nuhu, Overseeing Overseer of the Nigerian Film Organization; Gift Egbe, film-maker; Victor Akande, popular journalist and film critic; Kene Okwuosa, Group Chief Executive Officer of Filmhouse Cinemas; and Ijeoma Agu, actress
The committee stated that the five personalities “will join returning members such as Stephanie Linus, who leads the team; Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde; Victor Okhai; Andy Amenechi; Yibo Koko; Izu Ojukwu; Dimeji Ajibola; Emem Isong; Jude Idada; Meg Otanwa and John Njamah”.
“The additional members were from different creative backgrounds, and would invariably enhance process of selecting the best film from Nigeria,” the statement added.
