Nigerian Afrobeat star Seun Kuti expressed his dissatisfaction with a Nigerian bank, Gaurantee Trust Bank, while in London.

He referenced that he needed to open an account balance there after finding that he had £10,000 with him.

He decided to manage an account with an African/Nigerian organization; however, he was bewildered to discover that the base necessity was £50,000, which is around N106 million.

“I go GTB for London. Dem say if I no get £50,000, I no fit open account,” he siad.

The lobbyist was resentful about the occurrence and made sense of how he left the bank in humiliation. He censured the bank for its unnecessary necessities from Nigerians, particularly considering the country’s monetary issues.

Seun noticed that his supervisor and companion were there, and they found it interesting that he thought £10,000 would be sufficient to open an unfamiliar record.

@QUEENOFDBLUES1: “If he can not open the account, he should go and warm Eba and chop abeg.”

@Josef_oti: “Depends on the account tho! Maybe their talking about premium accoun which is the equivalent of platinum account in Nigeria. It’s banking system in the western world not a GTB thing.”
