- SM Entertainment announced that Taeil will leave the band after being accused of a sexual crime, without specifying the nature of the crime.
“We acknowledge the gravity of the situation and have concluded that Taeil cannot continue participating in group activities,” the statement read.
“We have conferred with Taeil, and it has been mutually agreed that he will depart from the group.”
The acclaimed singer, whose original name is Moon Tae-il, recently set a Guinness World Record for being the quickest individual to gather 1,000,000 supporters on Instagram.
