Ayra Starr, the worldwide-perceived Afrobeats singer, has become the latest star to enter the Nigerian entertainment world, known as Nollywood.
The 22-year-old Grammy-designated craftsman is ready to make her acting debut in the unique Superb Video film, ‘Christmas In Lagos.’
This lighthearted comedy features a skilled cast, including Teniola A. Aladese, Shalom C. Obiago, Rayxia Ojo, Shaffy Bello, and Adekunle Gold. The storyline revolves around Fiyin (Aladese), who, after encountering catastrophe, trusts that her closest companion, Elo (Obiago), is her perfect partner. The movie was shot in Lagos and coordinated by Jadesola Osiberu.
“For me, Ayra Starr represents what it means to be young and female and daring and brave and fearless – just being yourself. She was on the list from day one,” Osiberu told Variety.
Moreover, the film highlights appearance appearances by performers Wurld and Liya. At the same time, the soundtrack incorporates commitments from the incredible Radiant Ade, as well as Afrobeats stars Flavor and D’banj, among others.
