- Team Streeze, consisting of housemates Toby Forge and Mayor Frosh, have expressed their disappointment over their unexpected eviction from the ninth season of Big Brother Naija.
- Reality stars Ruthhee and DJ Flo were asked to leave the show last week.
- Forge stated that their strong personalities, creativity, and strengths made them a threat to other contestants, leading to their eviction in an interview with selected journalists.
In a discussion with select journalists, Forge expressed his belief that their “strong personalities, creativity, and strengths” positioned them as a “threat to other contestants,” ultimately resulting in their departure from the competition.
“I just felt like it was the normal case. I was surprised and not surprised at the same time because maybe we were lowkey threats in the house. Our duo, personality, creativity, and strength and we were doing the right things. Too many people had it in for us and we did not know because we were cool with them,” he said.
“It was surprising, shocking, a bit disappointing but like I said they felt threatened. It was not like we were winning tasks back to back, it was just a personal conflict of interest. And so winning the custodian challenge the week prior, also made them line up towards that direction.”
Frosh additionally discussed his thoughts, taking note of that he was at first wounded by their ousting however has since continued on and holds no feelings of spite against his kindred housemates.
“For me, it was quite shocking because it was not until the last week that we left that I realized that some people were not as real as we thought they were or how I presumed. I came up with a subtle approach to creating bonds and friendships, I was not making friends with an underlying intent but that was not the case with some people but that’s fine,” he said.
“Maybe that was their strategy, they came in a game and no one can blame anyone for having a strategy. But it just can hurt you, as humans it hurts. I’ve been out for like two days now, I’m over and I’m just looking forward to the possibilities ahead and baring no resentment.”
