As confirmed by her family, Onyeka Onwenu, the renowned music icon from Nigeria known as the “Elegant Stallion,” will be laid to rest today, Friday, in Lagos.
The singer died on July 30, 2024, at Reddington Emergency clinic in Ikeja. She collapsed while performing for Dr Stella Okoli, the Overseeing Head of Emzor Drugs.
She was 72 years old.
As revealed by CKN News, the family has declared that the memorial service will happen at the Foundation of Life Church in Ilupeju, with a confidential entombment at a vault in Ikoyi.
Likewise, the funeral flyer shows that the service of songs is set for 10 AM to 12 PM, and the internment will happen from 2 PM to 4 PM.
