Charles Oputa, the public critic and entertainer better known as Charly Boy, has shot the Nobel Laureate Prof Wole Soyinka for being quiet despite Nigerian difficulty.

Charly Kid reviewed in a video cut shared on his checked X Twitter handle how Soyinka coordinated a major protest against previous President Goodluck Jonathan during his presidency.

He reviews Soyinka driving the protest when  petroleum costs during Jonathan's tenure expanded from N87 to N120.”

He addressed Soyinka’s choice to stay calm notwithstanding Nigerians’ current hardships, blaming the Nobel Laureate for being a “tribalistic bigot.”

He expressed, “There was when Uncle Wole Soyinka thought often profoundly about Nigeria and Nigerians. He censured pioneers and characters who appeared to be hostile to Nigerian.

“As a social specialist myself, he was one of my legends and I considered him to be a coach. However, today, I view at him as a tribalistic biased person and I have lost all regard I once had for him.

“I recall the days, Uncle Wole paid the price for his extreme activism, detainment and even exile because of military dictators.

“Recently, I’m not certain where his unwaveringness lies in light of the fact that he has stayed quiet about this government.

“Uncle, was this new renaming of the public performance center a prize for your muteness? I recall Wole drove a dissent when Jonathan eliminated the sponsorship, and petroleum costs expanded from N87 to N120.

“He considered President Jonathan a fear based oppressor and his significant other a ‘hippopotamus,’ saying that Jonathan nearly harmed the economy destroyed. That was when $1 was N190.

“Last December, Wole called Peter Obi unsuitable to lead this nation and as of late said that Obi should not run in 2027, an individual who isn`t even in power.

“He kept up with that he wouldn`t scrutinize Tinubu until a year later. It is currently a year and a couple of months, yet he remains mute.”
