Emmanuel Obasi, the ex-husband of Nollywood star Judy Austin, has dealt a massive blow to the narrative by teaming up with hard-nosed relationship lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye, who is already embroiled in the trenches of May Edochie's bitter divorce battle with Yul Edochie. The unexpected revelation follows Obasi's heartbreaking accusations that Judy Austin unfairly denied him access to his children for a decade.
Obasi accused Judy and Yul of having scandalous extramarital encounters when she was still legally married to him and Yul was married to May Edochie. The new footage, discovered on the DPA group Instagram page by May Edochie's lawyer, captures the tense moment when Obasi and Ugwuonye, both under the weight of their individual cases, exchanged a poignant handshake. In this critical encounter, Ugwuonye promised to take a strong stand on Obasi's case.
The lawyer's emotional statement in the video's description struck a chord: he vowed to ensure the justice that had been denied to Obasi for so long, affirming a newfound clarity and awareness of the gravity of his new client's situation. Ugwuonye stated that Obasi's only wish was to be reunited with his biological children, which Yul and Judy reportedly rejected.
The lawyer also underscored Yul and Judy's contempt for Obasi, dismissing him as insignificant and believing he lacked an influential lawyer. With Ugwuonye at his side, Obasi is preparing for a legal battle that could turn the tide and give him the justice he has long sought. The lawyer wrote;
“MR. EMMANUEL OBASI MET WITH DPA LAWYERS YESTERDAY, It was quite a successful meeting. We got to understand his case much better. We repeatedly offered him tea, coffee, and food. But he declined.
“He said that meeting up was so filling that he felt like he ate a big bowl of jollof rice, moi-moi, and a whole chicken. We could see visibly how happy and comforted he felt.
“We were all confident that he would have justice. After all, he is not asking for too much. He just wants to see his biological children. He felt that Judy and Yul denied him that basic opportunity just because they felt he was a nobody and had no one to speak for him.”
