Afrobeats star Divine Ikubor, known as Rema, returned to his beginnings with a recognition that observed Benin’s social pride.
His visit to the palace of his Royal Highness, Uku Akpolokpolo Oba Ewuare II, created a buzz of esteem throughout the city.
Showing up in his esteemed old hometown of Benin, Edo State, only days before his hotly anticipated homecoming show, Rema looked to reconnect with his legacy and honour the people who preceded him.
The show, set for August 30 at the notable Samuel Ogbemudia Arena, was reported in July, making a rush of fervour all through the country. Rema’s venture was not just about his music; it was a festival of the land that formed his life.
He met with the leader of Edo State, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, and blended with the city’s elite, saying thanks to the people who assisted him in rising so rapidly.
The most important piece of his return was visiting the Oba of Benin’s royal residence, where Rema extended his regard by stooping and bowing profoundly, mirroring major areas of strength for him to his social personality.
With the illustrious gift, Rema spread the word about thinking for even a second to demand to play out his well-tune in the palace’s holy space.
Once permitted, the youthful singer started singing his top hit, his voice ringing out wonderfully.
The environment was charged as everybody in the room, from the residents to the visitors, joined him in chiming in. Their voices fit in a recognition that brought a feeling of harmony and celebration.
